A good connection is (at least) essential for dancing. Some say that it is the most important thing.

Of course, a good posture, a secure frame, some techniques and moves are necessary or a prerequisite for the dance to function, at least technically. In dance schools you will find enough courses and offers to acquire this with the support of professional teachers. Please don´t get me wrong: Dancing schools are a great place and highly recommended to invest a lot of time to get this fundamental foundations and necessary technique for a nice time on the dance floor. There is nothing wrong with that - quite the opposite. I have spent a lot of time there and I will do that in future too to improve my technique. But, even when sometimes courses like "leading & following" are also held, where it's more about empathizing with others:

How are you supposed to feel the connection to your dance partner(s) if you don't feel yourself (properly)?

It would be like being a chef but not having a sense of taste. Or a musician who is deaf. Maybe possible, but certainly (more) difficult.

Ok, that might sound extreme.

And of course, not everything is black and white, so there are probably just few who really don't feel anything (yet).

But there are infinite possibilities to go deeper and learn more (about you).

The big question is:

How would it be, expanding your knowledge and skills from the dancing school with more depth of feeling?

These workshops / sessions are about yourself. Building a connection to yourself. To feel and sense yourself. As a foundation for the good connection with others or that a deep connection with others is becoming even possible for you.

We will do exercises for your own arrival, your own perception, feeling of your physical body, feeling your emotional body or body of feelings. You will learn some tools like earthing and releasing to get rid of noisy and disturbing thoughts, emotions and feelings. To be really present when dancing or even better - already before you arrive at the dance floor.

It gets meditative, right. But that's exactly what dancing is (also) for me. Meditative. Only in the here and now, no thoughts lost in the past or looking to the future, no planning or worrying distractions, the mind is only used meaningfully, attention and mindfulness are constantly present, the focus on feeling (the music, the partner, the flow).

Dancing is a meditation for two. ;)
